- Risk and resilience in developmental psychopathology (family and peer relations as risk and protective factors); Childhood relationship stress and trauma (child maltreatment and parental psychopathology)
- Life-span developmental research methodology; quantitative methods for studying variability and change; analyses of developmental processes and life course transitions.
